That Amazing Place

Nestled in the Essex countryside, That Amazing Place (also known as “Hubbards Hall”), was originally built in the 15th century as a monastery.  For many years this grade II listed hidden gem was occupied as a residential property, until its current owners decided to renovate and re-open it as the beautifully elegant venue that it is today.

Day to day, the venue is open as a boutique bed and breakfast, offering luxurious rooms, excellent facilities, a hearty breakfast and outstanding personal customer service.

At all other times, we are an exclusive use wedding venue offing full use of our manor house, all its facilities and 12 deluxe bedrooms (sleeping up to 25 guests).  Cosy and intimate, with breath-taking views from every window, wedding couples can say “I Do” in their choice of ceremony room or in our new gazebo next to the lake and then enjoy a wedding reception tailored to their exact requirements. With a wealth of experience our Events Manager, Angie, will offer you a genuinely personal service and will look after your every need to ensure you have the wedding day of your dreams.
