Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London is enveloped between the glitz and glamour of Knightsbridge and leafy Hyde Park. An iconic London hotel, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has long been the setting for many opulent weddings and extravagant parties including Queen Elizabeth II’s reception on the eve of the royal marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in 2011, and yet is equally as welcoming to all those who visit. As a wedding venue, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park can cater for all weddings; from small intimate affairs to sit down banquets for up to 250 guests in the guilded Ballroom. With both a private Knightsbridge entrance as well as its own Royal Entrance, from which the Bride and Groom may enter with permission from the Crown Estate, The Ballroom is set against the country garden-like backdrop of Hyde Park. The Terrace provides a tranquil, outdoor setting for a drinks reception.
Every couple booking their wedding at the hotel will be assigned a dedicated wedding planner, on hand to help plan each event from start to finish, and to alleviate the stress of ‘wedmin’ in the happy pursuit of the perfect day to remember. The devoted team of Chefs can offer an authentic culinary journey and eclectic mix of flavours from around the world, and includes specialists in Western, Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern cuisine. The hotel can even play host to an “after party” on the Lower Ground Floor, with private event spaces offering a late night licence until 3am. The hotel also has a luxury spa, ideal for pre-wedding pampering and exquisite rooms for the wedding party.

As well as hosting receptions, we can also arrange for you to hold your ceremony within the hotel as we have a licence to conduct services in any of our banqueting suites.

We assign each couple a dedicated wedding specialist who will work with you to create the day of your dreams. From arranging timings to catering, flowers to linen, we can take the strain out of planning.

CATERING

We can provide all manner of cuisine for your big day. From canapés to desserts, a lavish buffet to a sit-down dinner, we have the experience and ideas to create your perfect menu. Our sommelier can offer advice on the best drinks to complement your chosen menu.

PERFECT TOUCHES

We enjoy established relationships with a number of external suppliers and will be happy to recommend everything from photographers to wedding stationery and cakes. Our talented in-house florist is an expert in crafting beautiful arrangements. If you are holding a reception in our stunning ballroom, we can arrange for you to enter through the private Royal Entrance from Hyde Park. If entering from Knightsbridge, we can organise personalised flags with your names or initials to fly over the entrance.

TOASTMASTER (SUPPLEMENTARY CHARGE)

We can arrange for a Toastmaster to assist with the smooth running of your party. He will welcome and introduce guests on arrival, ensure people receive their placement cards at the reception, announce dinner, announce the arrival of the bride and groom and introduce the speeches.

WEDDING BELLES

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental offers Wedding Belles, the ultimate programme for brides-to-be. Tailor-made to you and your needs, this pampering package includes:

• A full day Tranquil Escape two months in advance of the big day.
• A half day Soothing Ritual two weeks before the big day.
• A two hour, four-handed Oriental Harmony massage two days before the wedding.

We offer every couple who book our ballroom the opportunity to spend their First Night in a sumptuous Junior Suite as a gift from the hotel.

Overlooking Hyde Park, our stunning Ballroom is where HM Queen Elizabeth II learned to dance with her sister, the late Princess Margaret. Extensively restored, the Ballroom presents a visual feast of rich 24-carat gilding, breathtaking chandeliers and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows. As well as its own entrance onto Knightsbridge, a private foyer and cloakrooms, the Ballroom also has an exclusive Royal Entrance onto Hyde Park. With permission from the Royal Parks, brides and grooms are able to use this unique entrance for their wedding.

Adjoining the Ballroom, the Carlyle Room provides space for pre-dinner drinks or smaller events. With bas relief panels depicting classical scenes and two majestic arched openings in the middle of the room, it provides an elegant and intimate function space.

Situated adjacent to the Ballroom and enjoying unobstructed views over Hyde Park, The Loggia boasts an abundance of natural daylight. With a distinctive circular design, elegant gilding and tall French doors opening out onto a terrace, it offers the most marvellous setting for an intimate dinner or cocktail party. The Loggia’s private Royal Entrance from Hyde Park can be used for special occasions with permission from the Royal Parks.

We are the only five star hotel in London to offer outdoor space with panoramic park views. Available for exclusive hire with the ballroom, it is the perfect setting for a summer occasion requiring a glamorous location.

The Asquith and Balfour rooms successfully combine the latest high-tech equipment with sumptuous elegance. These adjoining rooms are ideal for intimate events, meetings or private dining. They come with the services of a personal butler and a private entrance from Knightsbridge.

We can convert guestrooms into meeting spaces for one-on-one sessions. Each room has a large Bang & Olufsen screen that can be used for presentations.
